A wonderful good morning!
Are you interested in the smaller, less visited National Parks of Tanzania?
Then Arusha National Park might be perfect for you.
It is located in the north of Arusha town, between Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro.
Mount Meru actually became part of the park in 1967.
The landscape of this National Park is very beautiful – there is the Ngurdoto Crater, Jekukumia River, the alkaline Momella Lakes, and the volcano.
One will also find a rich variety of wildlife, like giraffe, buffalo, zebra, monkeys, flamingo and more. Elephants and leopards are rarely seen although they are present, but there are no lions in this park.
With a size of 552 square kilometers, the park can be visited in only one day.
It is perfect for the start or the end of an extended Northern Circuit safari and one will enjoy a walking safari or game drive.
